An instrument of the Human

Augmentership™

Designing and evaluating AI-enabled work around human capabilities.

Augmentership does not only ask what AI allows people to do faster. It asks which capabilities become possible, durable, transferable and governable when humans work with AI.

Positioning

Increasing what people can accomplish, while preserving their power to direct its use.

Augmentership is a framework for designing and evaluating AI-enabled work that organises and verifies the trajectory of identified capabilities - individual, distributed, collective or organisational - under explicit conditions of effective agency, value, accountability and acceptable costs and risks.

A coherent framework, a practical protocol and a research proposal. Neither an already validated scientific theory nor a universally superior methodology.

The right question

An organisation should not only ask “Where can we deploy AI?”, but “Where should AI change the way people work, and what should become possible through this new configuration?”

Humanership × Augmentership

Humanership creates the space. Augmentership asks what becomes possible in that space.

Humanership is the philosophy: a human orientation of leadership centred on dignity, responsibility and transmission. Augmentership is the practice: a framework for designing and evaluating work with AI through the human capabilities it develops, preserves or extends.

Augmentership Principle

« An augmentation must be demonstrated, not merely declared. »

Augmentership is presented as a coherent framework, a practical protocol and a research proposal - not as an already validated scientific theory. It does not replace Responsible AI, governance, safety, legal or ethical frameworks.
